Hello!
I've maintained a perpetual interest in business and technology, specifically in how things work. As a child, I was always taking things apart (read: breaking) to see how things operated. This led me to breaking down and ultimately repairing radar jamming equipment for multi-million dollar planes in the United States Marine Corps.
From there, I wanted to see how businesses worked, so I got my degree in Marketing. I got a taste of the advertising world with two consecutive internships at the creative powerhouse, Crispin Porter + Bogusky. I then went on to work for a highly successful software start-up for a few years, configuring their highly flexible product for their end users. This valuable experience taught me how to understand customer needs and introduced me to valuable technologies.
Always wanting to write but having too short of an attention span to write anything lengthy, I naturally turned to blogging. I wanted to have full control of my content and site and quickly stumbled upon WordPress. Digging into the software, I quickly learned WordPress is not just a simple blogging platform, but a powerful publishing tool. Used effectively, it is a wonderful Content Management System (CMS). This open source software, which is supported by a huge global following and an ever growing network of developers, can pretty much do anything. Many Fortune 500 companies have already turned to it for all kinds of projects.
I enjoy configuring each site specifically for every client. Each business and industry has its own nuances and culture. Understanding my clients' needs is my passion. Playing a role in each client 's success in varied industries is a big responsibility, but it is also a great personal reward.
